SEECK Program

The SEECK Program (Sustainable Environmental, Economic, and Cultural Knowledge) integrates service - learning and sustainability into all academic and enrichment classes. Correlating real-world situations into the classroom and beyond is beneficial in improving cognitive development through teamwork, communication skills, decision making, and helping students make connections between theory and practice. Even the youngest students learn that they have a personal responsibility toward taking care of the world around them. The program is a USGBC (United States Green Builders Council) Louisiana Green Schools Challenge Gold and Platinum Award winner.

Each of our St. Paul’s SEECK/Sustainability Standards includes a list of “desired habits of mind,” such as empathy, awareness of the needs of others, understanding their role as a global citizen, willingness to take action, the ability to communicate effectively, and to work collaboratively.
