Little Saints Two & Three-Year-Old Program

At St. Paul’s Episcopal School, our Little Saints Two and Three-Year-Old Program is designed to nurture curiosity, creativity, and confidence during some of the most important years of a child’s development. We believe that learning is a collaborative journey, bringing together children, families, and teachers to create a vibrant community of learners.
Our classrooms provide a warm, supportive environment where children feel safe to explore, discover, and grow. Through positive relationships and meaningful interactions, we encourage communication, self-expression, problem-solving, and social-emotional development. Every child is valued as a unique individual, and we celebrate the diverse gifts, talents, and perspectives they bring to our community.
Learning in Little Saints is active, engaging, and joyful. Children develop a love of learning through hands-on experiences that include storytelling, music, movement, dramatic play, building, art, sensory exploration, and outdoor discovery. Our teachers thoughtfully design experiences that inspire wonder, encourage creativity, and help children make meaningful connections with the world around them.
Curriculum
The Little Saints curriculum is guided by the Core Knowledge Sequence, which provides a strong foundation of age-appropriate skills and concepts that support future academic success. This framework is enriched by the principles of the Reggio Emilia approach and our commitment to Education for Sustainability.
Through child-centered investigations and project-based learning, children are encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, and develop a deeper understanding of their environment. Teachers carefully observe children's interests and use those observations to create meaningful learning experiences that foster critical thinking, collaboration, and a lifelong love of learning.
Family Communication & Partnership
At St. Paul’s, we believe that strong partnerships between school and home are essential to a child's success. Open, ongoing communication allows families to remain actively involved in their child's learning journey and helps create a strong sense of community within our program.
Families stay connected through a variety of communication tools, including:
- Daily Journals featuring photographs and descriptions of classroom experiences and discoveries
- Weekly Newsletters highlighting classroom activities, learning goals, and upcoming events
- Memory Books document each child's learning process through artwork, photographs, and reflections from studio experiences.
- Parent-Teacher Conferences are held twice annually to discuss each child's growth, development, and progress.
- Documentation panels are displayed throughout the classrooms that showcase children's investigations, conversations, work samples, and learning experiences.
- Parent Boards and Mailboxes that provide important announcements, reminders, and special communications from teachers and students
Through these connections, families gain a meaningful window into their child's daily experiences and the learning that takes place within our classrooms.
