Dear St. Paul's Families,
As we begin a new school year, we are honored to serve as Chairs of the St. Paul's Annual Fund and to share why this extraordinary community means so much to our family.
Our St. Paul's journey began in 2021 when our oldest son, Leo, started Little Saints 3. Today, Leo is entering third grade, Rushton is beginning kindergarten, and Coco is starting Little Saints 2. In fact, Rushton and Coco have been part of the St. Paul's family since they were babies in the Baby Saints program.
Like many of you, we initially chose St. Paul's because of its strong academics, nurturing environment, and commitment to faith and character. What we could not have fully appreciated at the time was how deeply the teachers, administrators, and staff would come to know our children not only as students, but as individuals. They celebrate their accomplishments, support them through challenges, and encourage them to become their very best selves.
As parents of younger children, we have also watched the older students with admiration. We see young people who are confident yet humble and eager to lift up those around them. They embody the values that St. Paul's strives to instill each day, and they give us a glimpse of the people our own children may become. That culture does not happen by accident. It is the result of a community coming together year after year to support the mission of the school we all cherish.
The Annual Fund is one of the most meaningful ways we can do that, and its impact is felt throughout the school, strengthening the programs, experiences, and opportunities that enrich our children's lives each day. More importantly, the Annual Fund is a reflection of our collective commitment to St. Paul's and to one another.
Last year, an incredible 88% of St. Paul's families made a contribution to the Annual Fund. That remarkable level of participation speaks volumes about the strength of this community. This year, our hope is that every family will choose to participate. We know that every family's circumstances are different, and we believe that participation matters more than the size of any gift.
We are grateful every day for the gift of a St. Paul's education, for the joy of learning it inspires in our children, and for the community that surrounds them with love, support, and encouragement. Thank you for being part of that community and for helping ensure that it continues to flourish for years to come.
With gratitude,
Rachel and Roberto Calix
